Dual Language Immersion students are fluently bilingual in Spanish by 4th Grade.

Not only does NDPA meet standard academic levels of Math, Science, and English, but under the umbrella of a dual language cultural experience, we enhance each student's education to give them a well-rounded cultural understanding of the world they simply cannot get elsewhere.

NDPA hosts diplomats from Spain regularly as part of our relationship with the Spain Ministry of Education.

Is this an International Spanish Academy?

Yes! The International Spanish Academy (ISA) program designation includes a content-based instructional curriculum for various subjects, in which the Spanish language, and culture and history of Spain and of other Spanish speaking countries, are present within the K-12 framework.

How does the dual immersion language program work?

Spanish dual language immersion students spend 50% of their day with their English teacher and 50% of their day with their Spanish teacher. All communication by teachers and students in Spanish immersion classes is in Spanish. In 7th through 9th grades, these immersion students continue their studies in Spanish language and culture courses.

What is the Public Education Hotline?

In compliance with Utah Board Rule R277-123, which provides a process for reporting violations of law or rule within public education. Individuals who wish to file a complaint or concern related to possible violations may do so through the Public Education Hotline managed by the Utah State Board of Education’s Internal Audit Department. This hotline is designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper handling of reports within Utah’s public education system. Complaints or concerns can be filed by following the process as outlined in our Hotline Complaint Policy. Hotline complaints go directly to the State Board of Education Internal Audit Department and may be referred back to the LEA.
