Hola a todos! Mi nombre es Seņora Wolsey, |
I was born and raised in Sevilla (south of Spain) and moved to what once was the imperial city/capital of Spain, Toledo at the age of 14. I am the oldest of 6 children (4 girls and 2 boys); I have one uncle, one aunt, one cousin and one grandmother. I decided to move to Utah when I was 21 years of age to pursue a college education. Why Utah? Because of my LDS background, willingness to learn English and find a handsome tall American husband! I was recently happy to obtain my Teaching Degree with Honors in Secondary Education with a Spanish major and an ESL minor at Weber State University. In the mean time, I would like to get a master's degree in teaching with a leadership emphasis. |
The reason why I decided to pursue my degree is because I wanted to stay in touch with my native language and culture. Also, because I believe teaching is one of the most fascinating professions a person could be involved with since creativity, challenge and learning could be done in many different ways among students. Within my Teaching Philosophy is found the need of learning the culture along with the foreign language to assure that students aren't learning just a bunch of words but a meaningful language full of context. |
Some of my hobbies include running 1/2 marathons with my husband, playing the piano, singing, traveling the world, and of course, teaching at NDPA Jr. High. |
