USOE Certified Teacher – Highly Qualified

Mrs. Smoot was born and raised in Northern Utah for the first ten years of her life. Her family relocated to Las Vegas for the next 5years before returning to Provo Utah. She is the second oldest of 6 children.

Mrs. Smoot played basketball and graduated from Provo High having been expertly trained by her coach, her own father. She received an academic and athletic scholarship and attended Western Wyoming Community College. At the completion of two years, she was recruited by Albertson College of Idaho where she continued her athletics and graduated with both and Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education.

Mrs. Smoot met her husband in high school, dated and maintained a long distance courtship. They married two years ago. Last January, to be closer to family and friends and to join the NDPA Faculty, they moved back to Utah. They enjoy their dog named Roxy.

In her free Time- Mrs. Smoot loves to read, rollerblade, hike, go on walks with husband and Roxy, hang out with friends, and especially loves to play and watch sports.

Mrs. Smoot is a wonderful addition to our faculty and enjoys the community of students and family here at the school.
