Mrs. Gomberg was born in Utah and raised in Indiana. She is the married and the mother of 2 daughters. She and her husband moved to Utah in 1977 and reside in Ogden. |
|
She received her BS in Family and Consumer Science and her Masters of Education from Indiana University. She holds additional endorsements in Administrative/Supervisory for Elementary and Secondary Education, a Middle School Endorsement, and an endorsement in English as a Second Language. |

Mrs. Gomberg has been a Professional Coach (Mentor) for Principals and the Ogden District Title I Coordinator. She has been the Principal of Ogden High School, the Principal of Mound Fort Middle School and the Principal of Grandview Elementary. Her teaching experience includes teaching Math and Language Arts, she has developed and taught special programs for gifted students, and taught Child Development and Family Studies in the Ogden District Young Mothers Program. |

She has completed additional trainings in: The ABC’s of Effective Teacher Mentoring, Building Trust and Commitment in Your School, Effective Schools and Comprehensive Reform Models, Success for All, Reading/Writing Strategies K-5, Creative Thinking and Problem Solving for Students and Seven Habits for Highly Effective People. |

Additional leadership positions and assignments include: President of the Ogden Principals Association, A Coach and Leader for the National Association for Secondary School Principals, and Newsletter Editor for Phi Delta Kappa. She has served on the review committee for State Charter Schools, the Strategic Planning Commission for Ogden City Schools. She has been a grant writer, and provided training to teachers and principals in Creative Skills for Gifted and Talented Elementary Students, Discipline with Dignity, Special Education Law, Understanding Brain Based Learning, Xerox Problem Solving Process, and Leadership and Self- Deception for Teaching and Education. |

She has been and active board member for Ogden Preparatory Academy, Your Community Connection, and The Utah Musical Theater and served as an AYSO Soccer Coach for 10 years. |

Her interests include; Soccer, piano, theatre and movies, reading, and gourmet cooking. |
