I was born and raised in Moia, España, a small town north of Barcelona. It is surrounded by a Mediterranean pine forest and located one hour from the sea and one hour from the Pyrenees mountain range separating France and España.

As a child, I loved to ride my bicycle and play soccer with my friends and my sister in the street. At the age of 9 I began swimming with a club and competing over the summer. As a teenager I began helping the swimming instructors at the club, teaching kids how to swim. That brought me to attend college and get my degree in teaching, at the University of Barcelona.

As a passionate of endurance sports I began a career in triathlon, becoming professional in 2000. I’ve been racing triathlons all over the world, from Australia to Finland. I have competed in short distances to Hawaii’s Ironman Competition.

I love to travel and meet people from different cultures. This is among the reasons that brought me to Utah with my wife and my two daughters. We have enjoyed the many exploration opportunities this area of the nation gives us.

I enjoy teaching daily at NDPA. Even though this is a much bigger school than the one I used to teach at in Spain, it still feels like a family, working together for the same purpose.
